Former Parish Council Offices,
266 George Street,
1900-1902,
Thomson and Sandilands.

The Parish Council Offices, in George Street, were built between 1900 and 1902 by Thomson and Sandilands.

Externally the facade is ornate with two stories of oriel windows above which are the three arched windows of the Parish Hall.

The Parish Hall is lit by three large arched windows and a central dome, with decorative glazing, is sunk into a deeply coffered ceiling. The walls are plain above a dark wood panelled dado with a series of pilasters, topped with guilded figures, rising to an ornate plaster cornice."
