Activity
26: "Family Trees"
One way
to organise and display information about a family is to prepare a family
tree.
You can do this for families by reading about them, discovering information
about them and then displaying this information.
For example you could draw a family tree from the following information:
The MacLeod family children are called Jean, Alan and Tom.
Their mother is called Lucy and she has a sister called Anne.
Their father is George and he has a sister called Margaret.
Margaret is married to Uncle Fred and they have two children, Georgia and
Colin.
George's father is called Ian and his wife is Belle.
You could find out more including special dates.
However, this information can let you start a family tree, as here:
Use the Life of Alexander Thomson (click HERE or go to Alexander "Greek"
Thomson, The Life of Alexander Thomson on the CD-ROM) and the article "The
Unknown Genius" (click HERE [link to www…..]).
Find out what you can about Alexander Thomson's family, ancestors, relatives
etc and show this on a family tree like the one above.
You might be able to fill in some of the gaps by finding other information
elsewhere.
