25: Using a Timeline

This is an example of one way of organising and displaying information that
follows a chronological order.
You used this timeline to read information. You can also draw timelines to
show information.
You are now going to draw an accurate timeline to show the owners of Holmwood
House from 1858 to 2002.

There are 12 pages of information here about the owners. Go through these
in order and note down the first and last years of each owner's occupation
of the house. You will have to read the information very carefully.
When you have done that decide on a scale for the Timeline which should start
in 1850 and finish in 2000.
Draw the line in your jotter or on a piece of paper.
Put in some regular intermediate dates and then show when the different owners
lived in the house. You can do this any way you like.
