21: Maps
In Activity 20 you used co-ordinates to determine the position of something
on a plan.
We use the same technique for locating places on maps.
Click HERE to bring up the buildings that 'Greek' Thomson designed or go to
Alexander 'Greek' Thomson, The Buildings of Alexander Thomson.
Select the following buildings that are located in Glasgow City centre area,
i.e.

a Glasgow City Centre map or download from HERE [ link to www.glasgowguide.co.uk/maps.html
] the Glasgow City Guide Street map for the city centre and find the grid
references for each of the above buildings. Write these co-ordinates beside
each building.
If you can get a full street map of Glasgow, you would be able to locate the
references for the other Glasgow buildings.
You could also search for the other addresses on www.multimap.com
Perhaps if you live in or are visiting Glasgow you could try to see some of
these buildings for yourself.
