12: LOOKING AT LINES
Lines
are important in design and it is lines that border and help to define a shape.
The external lines in a shape are the boundaries between that shape and the
outside and these lines can only be described in terms of their length.
Lines can be either straight or curved.
Here is a general exterior view of Holmwood House and you will see that most
of the lines you can see are straight.

Look at the plans of the interior of the house click HERE
. The floor plan of the rooms show that there is a mixture of straight and
curved lines used.
Complete the following table to show the type of lines that edge the rooms.
Write in the names of the rooms according to their surrounding edges. If you
run your cursor over the plan slowly the names of the rooms will appear.
