Activity
11: Finding the "Golden Ratio"
This Activity follows on from Activity 10 and investigates further the properties
of the Fibonacci sequence.
You are going to do this Activity with the aid of a spreadsheet.
Open up a blank spreadsheet and set it to two decimal places.
You will need two columns only.

The first column one will contain the Fibonacci sequence up to twelve terms.
The second column should be formed from a formula which is the ratio you found
out in the last Activity of each term to the previous term.
Use the spreadsheet's graph drawing facility to draw a line graph of column
two.
What do you notice?
If you were correct the ratios and the graph should approach closer and closer
to the Golden Ratio.
Extra:
If you enjoyed doing this spreadsheet activity you might like to repeat it
using different numbers as starting points e.g.
3,3,6,9………………………………
